The Advising Support Representative is responsible for assisting the current online students over the phone by answering common questions around policies and procedures. Critical thinking skills and being comfortable on the phone are necessary for this role.
-Help answer questions and solve issues through phone, text or email
-Become a subject matter expert on school/program and academic policy information and transmit that information to internal and external customers
-Provide excellent customer service
-Direct necessary calls to advisors
-Assist with course registration
-Update information in the CRM system
-Update academic information and academic plans
-Administrative support for the Advising team
-Social Media monitoring
1+ Years of customer service or office experience (internships, restaurant, retail, etc.)
Computer / MS Office / e-mail experience; experience with customer-tracking software applications and data entry preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills
High level of enthusiasm, drive, and determination
Excellent communication, investigation and listening skills
Time management skills to multi-task a variety of activities
Must be self-directed in accomplishing workflow
